Barbra Streisand's first album in 1963 became a Top Ten, gold-selling record & turned her into one of the best-selling recording artists of the early '60s. She shrewdly turned her back on recording to concentrate on her Broadway career, which led her into motion pictures and her first Academy award for her role in 'Funny Girl'. She found bigger success thanks to collaborations with Neil Diamond, Donna Summer and her biggest selling album 'Guilty' with Barry Gibb. The 90's saw Barbra return to the concert stage and very date was an instant sell-out and was acclaimed by fans and critics alike. In 2005 she made an unexpected return to our movie screens with Dustin Hoffman in the comedy 'Meet the Fockers'. With 2 Academy awards, 10 Grammys, 6 Emmys and over 70 million albums sold in the U.S alone, Barbra Streisand is without doubt one of the most successful entertainers of her generation.
