NATHAN MILSTEIN with THE PHILHARMONIA ORCHESTRA conducted by ERICH LEINSDORF Beethoven: Violin Concerto (Extremely rare 1962 UK first issue stereo 3-track vinyl LP on the highly collectable blue & silver Columbia label, a superbrecording by one of the Twentieth Century's finest violinists.

The front-laminated flipback picture sleeve was printed by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd and has just the faintest sign of age yellowing but the pinched spine remains sharp, thecoloursof the early-sixties graphics are still bright and is graded as Near Mint.

Apart from one small, faint hairline scuff, the vinyl is graded as Near Mint, with the labels pristine and free from spindle wear. An amazingly scarce record in an outstanding condition; not the kind of item we are ever likely to see again very often, and certainly not in such condition - a once in a lifetime chance! SAX2508)

This copy has been nearly FULLY AUTOGRAPHED by all parties on the bill, including Spencer Davis, Miller Anderson, Colin Hodgkinson, Eddie Hardin & Pete York from The Spencer Davis Group, Chris Dreja, Jim McCarty, John Idan & Alan Glen from The Yardbirds and Reg Presley, Chris Britton, Peter Lucas & Dave Maggs from The Troggs. In fact, everybody except The Yardbirds' guitarist at the time, Gypie Mayo! These signatures were obtained by Yukiko Smythe. For many years Yukiko's husband, Colin Smythe, was Eric Clapton's assistant tour manager. On August 27th 1990 Colin, along with Clapton's agent Bobby Brooks, his bodyguard Nigel Browne and Stevie Ray Vaughan boarded a helicopter bound for Chicago. Tragically, the helicopter crashed shortly after take-off, killing all on board. Since that fateful day, Yukiko's love of live music has endured and over the next two decades she continued to obtain many signatures whilst backstage at concerts around the world.
