THE MIKE WESTBROOK CONCERT BAND Celebration (Rare 1967 UK first press 8-track MONO LP on the deep groove white & brown Deram label, featuring original compositions from band leader Mike Westbrook & John Surman along with Mike Osborne [alto sax], Malcolm Griffiths [trombone], Harry Miller [bass], Alan Jackson [sticks] & Dave Holdsworth [trumpet, flugal horn] etc. Recorded between 29th July 1967 & 5th August 1967 - this is an outstanding debut from Westbrook & a top British jazz rarity to boot! The front laminated picture sleeve is Excellent & shows just a little ring wear & mild ageing after half a century. The vinyl grades EX/EX- with only a few faint spindle marks & light signs of play. This copy originates from the private collection of a former staff member for Dobells record shop in Charing Cross DML1013)
