William, Was It Really Nothing - Withdrawn Yellow Lettering 12"

THE SMITHS William, Was It Really Nothing (Very rare unissued 1987 UK Rough Trade unfolded uncut card printer proof artwork for the 12" vinyl front and reverse sleeve with colour bars. The front sleeve is the Mauve tinted picture sleeve featuring cover star Billie Whitelaw as Lottie from the 1968 movie 'Charlie Bubbles and measures 25" x 14". The reverse has the all-important UNRELEASED yellow lettering, presumably used by the designers Jo Slee and Caryn Gough aspart of the production process, needless to say there aren't many of these in existence! This item is in superb condition, has never been displayed and is free of any creasing - A top Smiths collectable!)
