THE BEATLES Beatles For Sale (Very Rare 1964 UK first batch press 14-track mono LP, Factory Sample stickered on side two of the black & yellow Parlophone labels for review prior to commercial release, with 'Parlophone Co' perimeter text& 'Sold in UK' & 'Recording First Published' print. It should be stressed that very few of these sample stickered pressings are left in circulation. Complete with the front laminated pocket flipback gatefold sleeve with pinched spine, small outline 'mono' on the front & 'Emitex' inner, see 'more info' for details on the condition... PMC1240)

This is an advance copy which is Factory Sample stickered on the side two label for review. These early review examples are now so hard to find & this is the first we have ever been able to offer.

The labels are the classic black & yellow Parlophone design with silver print & "The Parlophone Co Ltd" perimeter text. "Sold In The UK" & "Recording First Published 1964" text is present & there is a 'KT' tax code on the second side.

The machine stamped matrices in the run-outs read:
Side One: XEX 503-4N
Side Two: XEX 504-4N

The front laminated gatefold picture sleeve with outline mono logo on the front has a pinched spine, internal flipbacks & pocket. The colours are deep & rich, the laminate is clean with no lift or damage. We would grade the cover Excellent.

Housed in a crisp original "Use Emitex" poly lined inner bag, the condition of the vinyl is clean & grades VG/VG-. The grooves still have a deep sheen with obvious spindle marks by the centre hole labels & paper scuffing to indicate play. Given the quality of sixties vinyl, & on a mono playback setting, these blemishes are rendered merely cosmetic & the sound quality remains exceptional, despite light surface wear audible in places. An ideal collection filler & the first of its kind we have seen.
