Tracklisting & More Information

A legendary Blue Note release, this recording by the Hank Mobley Sextet also features Donald Byrd & Lee Morgan on trumpet, Horace Silver on Piano, Paul Chambers on Bass & Charlie Persip on Drums. With a line up like this, you just couldn't go wrong!

Condition

Visually, the sleeve shows just a little edge scuffing and is free of the splits that tend to plague these covers. There is a little light shelfwear visible on the front, but nothing drastic and far less than you would usually expect to see.
There is a little wear to the back slick, but again nothing significant and all text remains clearly readable.
For completeness' sake, it should be noted that there are annotations of '488' and 'UNISSUED' penned neatly on the back and the remains of a historic sticker but no tears to the back slick itself.

The labels are the first issue 'Deep Groove' Blue Note design with 'Blue Note Records 767 Lexington Ave NYC' script text just inside the label groove. These show no significant wear at all and are free of writing or stickers.

The vinyl has 'RVG' & the 'ear' logo scratched into the run off area.
The playing surface remains in really nice condition with just a couple of very light surface scuffs evident if examined closely under strong light. While the LP has certainly be played, it has obviously not been played to excess and has been very well looked after over the past sixty years.

An extremely nice copy of this very rare LP release in much better condition than they are usually found. That is, of course, if you manage to find one at all.
