Reebop

REEBOP KWAKU BAAH Reebop (Monster Afrobeat 1972 US first press 7-track LP on the pink rim Island label, recorded at Island's London Studios that year & guest starring Steve Winwood. Reebop was a merciless conga player & joined Winwood's Traffic after a meeting on tour in Sweden the previous year [Brian Eno once described the percussionist & all-out hedonist as Traffic's "direct-inject anti-jazz ray gun"!?]. The pasted picture sleeve is still in hype stickered open shrink with the company inner & the vinyl is Excellent, with little evidence of play SW-9304)
