THE WHO Odds & Sods (2011 Japanese promo sample issue of the Exclusive Limited First Pressing Edition 23-track digitally remastered SHM-CD [Super High Material CD - playable on all CD players], issued to radio stations and reviewers ahead of the actual release, including Twelve Bonus Recordings. The disc is promo stamped and comes in a mini replica die-cut embossed LP style card wallet picture sleeve with replica lyric insert, along with a replica of the rare promo press kit folder which holds an individually numbered picture insert, mini fold-out poster and Japanese liner/lyric booklet, complete with replica obi-strip from the original 1974 release and still in the SHM-CD stickered bag UICY-94775)

The SHM-CD [Super High Material CD] format features enhanced audio quality through the use of a special polycarbonate plastic. Using a process developed by JVC and Universal Music Japan discovered through the joint companies' research into LCD display manufacturing, SHM-CDs feature improved transparency on the data side of the disc, allowing for more accurate reading of CD data by the CD player laser head. SHM-CD format CDs are fully compatible with standard CD players.
