THE WHO A Quick One Box (Rare 2008 Japanese promo sample issue of the strictly limited 45-track SHM [Super High Material] double CD set playable on all CD players, issued to radio stations and reviewers ahead of the actual release date. Expertly remastered by long-time Who associate Jon Astley, featuring the legendary group's second album originally released in 1966. Includes mono & stereo mixes along with single & EP tracks from the same period. Custom stamped inner rim on each disc, comes housed in an individually numbered spot-lacquered hinged-lid box with a promo stickered full back obi-strip. Apart from a small amount of fading along one edge this is in stunning condition)

The box also contains 20 3" card sleeves, including 8 laminated EP designs [French/UK], plus 12 single sleeves including Italian, Swedish, Japanese, Norwegian & German variants.

Lastly, there are 2 card inserts duplicating the original UK & US label designs, a Japanese/English lyric booklet and wraparound obi strip.

The SHM-CD [Super High Material CD] format features enhanced audio quality through the use of a special polycarbonate plastic. Using a process developed by JVC and Universal Music Japan discovered through the joint companies' research into LCD display manufacturing, SHM-CDs feature improved transparency on the data side of the disc, allowing for more accurate reading of CD data by the CD player laser head. SHM-CD format CDs are fully compatible with standard CD players.
