Condition :-

Where to start with this debut by the British Invasion beat group... we have seen only a few of these in our time, but never have we been able to stock one. Simply put, in terms of condition, they are always too far gone! What we have here, however, is a highly respectable VG+/EX- copy & a rare one previous owner example.
Sleeve :-
The 'Robert Stace' front laminated sleeve reveals the usual trace of discolouring to the unlaminated rear, all too common with sixties UK sleeves, but there is only faint evidence of that with this example. All text remains clearly legible, including along the spine. Argent, of course, provided the sleeve notes himself, & there are no tears, writing or blemishes to stand in the way of it. With just the lightest bit of creasing to the laminate around the edges, this is a very favourable VG+/EX- grade copy.

The label design is the classic red, unboxed print with 'ffrr' ear logo to the right, 'Made In England, The Decca Record Co Ltd' perimeter text around the top & K/T tax code to the right. The print is in silver, & there is no writing or tears that might intrude or upset the lettering. The 'deep grooves' are present both sides & there are some spindle marks around the centre hole to indicate some play in its time.
The vinyl has been professionally cleaned on a Matrix machine & has come up looking sparkling. There are a couple of ever so faint paper scuffs or hairline marks to show for its vintage, but thanks to the quality of sixties vinyl, especially British Decca pressings, playback is immense. They certainly never show up looking as good as this! All be it old, we have graded this copy an overall, serviceable VG+/EX-, a mighty fine record it is too. Who knows if we'll see one again!
