UNITED TRAVEL SERVICE Wind And Stone (2009 German exclusive limited edition 12-track vinyl LP compiling all known recordings made by this acclaimed Portland, Oregon-based band in 1967-68; United Travel Service released just 2 singles intheir all-too-brief lifetime, but all 4 sides stand head and shoulders above many other higher profile acts from the period, with a strong San Franciscan influence evident throughout, with strong emphasis on layered harmonies and folk-based psychedelia; alongside the afore-mentioned A & B sides, this collection includes 5 additional tracks from the recording sessions, plus 3 home recordings, all previously unreleased! Includes a neat fold-out insert with photos and reminiscences from front man Ben Hoff)
