JANES ADDICTION A Cabinet Of Curiosities (Official 2009 US Rhino label advance promotional 3 CD-R & 1 DVD-R acetate set for the box set release. This release celebrates the bands legacy, offering a comprehensive look at the band from demo recordings to live recordings of the band roaring through its best songs onstage. Disc 1 comprises their five track session for Radio Tokyo studio recorded in 1986,alongside unreleased demos from 1987. Disc 2 contains more unreleased demos along witha recording of the band rehearsing 'My Time', a 12" remix of 'Been Caught Stealing'; as well as rare & unreleased live cuts including roaring covers of Led Zeppelin's 'Whole Lotta Love' and The Stooges' '1970' and the live staple dubbed 'Bobhaus'. Disc 3 features a complete live show from December 19th 1990 [the second show from their legendary three night run at the Hollywood Palladium]. The DVD begins with Soul Kiss, previously available only on VHS, which features the video for 'Mountain Song' that was banned by MTV, a video for 'City' and candid home movies of the band. The DVD also brings together six additional music videos as well as a trio of unreleased 1990 performances taped in Milan for MTV Italy. Custom printed discs complete with a custom title/tracklisting back insert plus a set of tarot style cards [one for each band member])
