MILES DAVIS WITH HORNS Early Miles (Rare 1961 8-track deep groove mono LP on Esquire with 'RVG' etched in the run-outs, featuring a youthful Miles' first session for Prestige on 17th January 1951, also the first time he & Sonny Rollins played together, alongside a 1953 session with Al Cohn, Zoot Sims & Kenny Clarke, amongst others, playing Cohn's compositions. Comes housed in a unique front laminated flipback picture sleeve for the British market. This is a nice one owner example. The sleeve [VG+] has no writing, the flipbacks are secure & the print is strong & vivid both sides. There is the odd small spot of foxing & this example has a couple of scuff marks & chips in the laminate's top edge. The heavyweight vinyl is in lovely Excellent condition with barely any play)
