THE CONTENTS OF EACH BOOK

One of the largest and heaviest books from Genesis. These were available as 'Commander' regular copies or 'Starship' deluxe copies. Each book has the following specifications :-

416 pages, size: 360mm x 280mm

488 black and white photographs

119 full colour images including Polaroids

13 contact sheets

mostly previously unpublished images

13 sheets pasted in by hand

36 UV highly glossed images

Christopher's diary running throughout the book, along with tour schedules, set lists, budgets, daily newsletters from the commander, lists of personnel, sight-seeing tickets, night club passes, Rolling Stone magazine articles, letters home and postcards.

Real signatures by Christopher Simon Sykes and Peter Rudge on replica crew passes, pasted by hand into each book.

The solander box, which holds both 'Commander' and 'Starship' copies is a work of art in its own right. Handmade from strong millboard covered in buckram, it features a silkscreen image of the 'Starship' with silver foil blocking. Lenticular images of the Stones appear in the aircraft's cut away windows.

Recessed areas under the book house the room keys in a drawstring bag and the backstage passes. The tour 'Access Backstage' silk armband serves as a pull ribbon for the large format book.

The book is bound in quarter leather & buckram. The page edges are colourfully silkscreened helping to make this one of the most stunning bindings ever produced by Genesis.
