ROLLING STONES Beggars Banquet (Rare original 1968 UK pressed London blue & silver label 10-track stereo vinyl LP, originally intended for export to the US [hence the US catalogue number of PS539] but exported to Japan instead. Housed in the original Garrod & Lofthouse front laminated gatefold picture sleeve with changed credits on the back. Comes complete with the rare original Japanese promotional only 7" flexi disc featuring an interview with Mick Jagger [in its own unique custom paper picture sleeve which is pristine] and Japanese issue inserts - one with lyrics, the other with biography and transcript of the interview! Thecondition of this piece of rock and roll history is nothing short of breathtaking! PS539)

LP details:
The labels are superb, with only the faintest hint of a spindle mark to indicate any sign of play, remaining bright and clean with sharp silver print.

The vinyl is in wonderful condition with only light paper scuffs visible across the run-out grooves. Both playing sides retain a glorious 'just pressed' lustre. It has evidently been carefully stored over the last 44 years in the original poly-lined 'ffrr' company inner which is included.

The original Garrod & Lofthouse front laminated gatefold picture sleeve is also in remarkable shape. Only minor signs of storage evidence to be found to the laminate and open edge with a small printing defect to the front, very light 'foxing' marks and a small corner crease, overall beautifully clean with minimal discolouration, all edges intact and clearly legible spine print.

The inserts show just light browning through age but are otherwise as new.


Flexi-Disc details:
This fantastic rarity features an interview with Mick Jagger - the disc is printed with Japanese text and housed in a unique custom paper picture sleeve featuring a great 'out-take' picture from the Banquet photo shoot on the front with Japanese text on the back. Japanese promo-only items are manufactured in very small numbers. Both the flipback picture sleeve and the the disc are in fantastic near 'as new' condition!
