Among the killer performances are live versions of five songs from 2001's Top 30-charting God Hates Us All: "Disciple," "God Send Death," "New Faith," "Here Comes The Pain" and "Bloodline." Yet the War At The Warfield concert spans the band's entire 20-year career to date. From its debut album, 1983's Show No Mercy, Slayer performs "Die By The Sword"; from 1984's Haunting The Chapel EP are enduring fan favorites "Captor Of Sin" and "Chemical Warfare."

"Hells Awaits" originated on the 1985 album of the same name, and "Postmortem" and "Raining Blood" were first heard in studio versions on the 1985 speed metal masterpiece Reign In Blood, the band's first of four consecutive gold albums. The Vietnam-themed "Mandatory Suicide" premiered on 1988's South Of Heaven; "War Ensemble," "Dead Skin Mask" and "Seasons In The Abyss" on 1990's Seasons In The Abyss; "Dittohead" on 1994's Divine Intervention, and "Stain Of Mind" on 1998's Diabolus In Musica. The concert concludes with an encore of "South Of Heaven" and Reign In Blood's "Angel Of Death" that defines "shock and awe" for fans of Slayer.
